TS-CHEM Tips and Techniques

The TS-CHEM Tips and Techniques page expands upon the Tips and Techniques provided in the TS-CHEM User Guide, providing users with a set of useful tools, methods, and techniques intended to facilitate model development, streamline solute transport modeling analyses, and interpret and visualize model output.

Plotting 3D TS-CHEM Plume Model in Surfer

Surfer (contouring, gridding, and surface mapping software from Golden Software) has recently been enhanced to include full 3D (XYZC data) spatial interpolation and display capabilities. This is more properly referred to as 4D scientific data visualization. This brief tutorial will explain the steps for creating a simple plume model in TS-CHEM, exporting the grid concentration data in the proper format, and importing into Surfer to create a 3D depiction of the modeled plume.
